Public transport: To reach Hawagala, you have several options for transportation. You can take a bus from the Colombo main Bus Stand to Balangoda, about 15 kilometers from Belihuloya. From Balangoda, you can continue your journey by catching a local bus or hiring a tuk-tuk to reach Hawagala. Alternatively, you can take a train from Colombo to either Haputale or Bandarawela and then arrange for a bus to Belihuloya. Another option is to take a bus from Colombo to Badulla, disembark at Belihuloya, and from there, either take a local bus heading towards Laduyaya or hire a tuk-tuk for easy transportation to the base of Hawagala.
